LOS VIAJES DE BOWA

LA GATA JAPONESA [Espanha]

Bowa, nomad, orphan of roots and dreams, one day found a bottle by the sea. Inside it she found a message and she decided to take it to its destination. The road was so rich that it became almost an obsession. Hours of waiting and kilometers of searching to get to their destination hundreds of messages that were locked in the shiny glass of a bottle. A message has brought her right to this place, where he hopes to meet someone who sent a message to the sea hoping that it would come back. That person will not appear, but something special has this place, something familiar, something as strange to her as the warmth of a home. And she will read a new message. This one written by the sea, that wise old man, witness of her exploits and aware of her absences. It is the sea that has guided her steps there, it is in that place, where Bowa’s wings will find land to anchor their roots. The show goes through different emotional states of the character, which are supported by a multidisciplinary circus language: Magic effects, which arise accidentally, reinforcing the peculiarity of that space. Development of an investigation around the bottles: manipulation, balances, and demystification of the object, making it a character, scenery, or mere support element. Aerial acrobatics, with technic, but developed in an organic and coherent way and, of course, humor and poetry as transversal elements.
